China is a fantastic country to visit.
There’s quite simply a huge abundance of things to see and places to visit in China. With all its ancient history and Asian culture it’s a traveler’s dream. Get you cameras at the ready as you won’t take your finger off the trigger throughout your China travel experience.
This rundown could go on forever so to make things simpler here would be my favourite travel encounters in China.

The Great Wall of China
This must be number one – visiting the Great Wall of China is truly a fundamental element of any China trip.
It’s one of China’s most notorious historic points and its resilience does not disappoint. One of my unsurpassed China travel minutes was perched on the edge of the Wall, watching the sun set in to the mountains. We highly recommend joining a guided tour to walk along the Great Wall.
Star Gazing at Labrang Monastery in Xiahe
The skies in Xiahe are really dynamite as should be obvious by a large number of stars. Paying special attention to any meteorites as the priests serenade with floats of incense.
The Karst Mountains in Yangshuo
Scenery doesn’t show signs of greater improvement than this. Transcending limestone arrangements rule the scene and make this one of China’s most delightful areas. This is something that you unquestionably would prefer not to pass up a great opportunity for, amid your China trip.
Camping in the Ganya Grasslands
Camping in the encompassing zones of Xiahe was a splendid experience and one that I would not usually consider doing amid a China trip.
We enjoyed the green slopes and the profusion of blooms – in the company of a couple of touching Yaks. Nature is at its best here.
The “Impressions” Light Show in Yangshuo
“Impressions” was coordinated by Zhang Yimou who likewise made the Beijing opening service. The show has a theme surrounding the Li River itself with the Karst Mountains as the setting – a mystical China travel experience. Expect marvelous music and a staggering light show. Book your tickets here.
Wangfujing Snack Street in Beijing
If you’re feeling hungry and a little courageous take a stroll down Wangfujing nibble road in Beijing and see what the Chinese enjoy snacking rather than a sack of peanuts.
Scorpions, star fish, seahorses and goliath creepy crawlies are all on offer with a side of stew sauce! This is a China travel encounter that you won’t overlook in a rush!
Hiking the Dragon’s Bone Rice Patios in Ping’an
Defiantly a place to get that postcard photo. You’ll climb and drop through brilliant picturesque zones. The best time to visit is from December to April as the patios are loaded with water which makes astounding reflections.
Shanghai and the Bund
China’s greatest and most prosperous city combines engineering and dusty antiquated sanctuaries tucked between advanced high rises. It’s an awesome place to start or end your China trip, with many great things to do.
